Happy Boo-Day!

Autumn has finally arrived in Shanghai!

The temperature is really pleasant to go out and about now, the tree colors are slowly changing too, it’s really lovely. To get in the Halloween mood (our first in China) I baked oreo cupcakes, add an orange color for the buttercream frosting and dressed it up with laser cut custom made Halloween wrapper courtessy of my awesome friend at http://www.Spbang.com (thank you, Sherri!) voila … they are ready to party.

Happy Boo Day!

Hi Esti,
Mateo’s cupcake cake was a HUGE success! Several moms asked where I got it! I think you may have some more business coming your way! 🙂
It was such an adorable cake. Mateo LOVED the car! Thanks so much.
I’m attaching a picture from my son’s party. You can see how happy he was with his cake!
We’ll definitely be in touch again. 🙂
All the best,
Birgit

Brave Theme Cupcakes

I met Qiqi’s mom at the Kerry Bazaar several weeks ago, she asked me if I can make cupcakes based on the movie “Brave”  and I told her that I could do crown topper (since Merida is a Princess) with bow & arrow (she is a bowman). She likes the idea and ordered 24 chocolate cupcakes as a result.

My daughter recognized the theme right away, we watched the movie with her cousins last summer holiday in Vancouver, if you haven’t seen it yet you should add it to your must watch list, we love it!

Cupcake Cookies for Mateo

These were 25 butter cookies, Mateo’s Mom ordered cupcake shape cookies to bring to his school for his birthday, I think it’s a great idea!

Hi Esti,
It was so nice meeting you today!
The kids LOVED the cookies!
Thank you so much!
Suk se ma (I’m sure I’m not spelling that right!) 🙂

PS. Suksema means Thank You in Balinese language, I am Balinese and she just went there for a holiday during Golden Week holiday, hence the word.

Hi Esti,

Hope you’ve had a good week!

Just wanted to check in to see when you would like me to pick up the cupcakes tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing the cupcakes!  By the way, the last batch was delicious!

Dulce De Leche Cupcake

Abril’s Mom ordered 24 mini vanilla cupcakes to bring to school for her to celebrate her birthday with her classmates. Since it’s also United Nations Day in their school her Mom asked me to add dulce de leche (caramel) filling in the cupcake and Feliz Cumpleanos (Happy birthday in Spanish) on it. My husband family background is South American so I made my own dulce de leche, its a staple food in our family.

Below is Abril’s Mom email received just now :
