Hiroko’s order for her daughter birthday party, Vanilla cupcakes with Walt Disney movie Frozen theme and Lemon cupcakes with lemon curd filling & cream cheese frosting.

My daughter and I watched Frozen the movie so many times that I lost count, at some moment we’ve got the movie soundtrack playing in the car endlessly (like every other family I guess). I love all 3 main characters from the movie but Anna was my favourite, especially the part when she sing “Do you want to build a snowman…”

Happy birthday Eriko!

R2-D2

Artoo-Detoo (often referred to as Artoo), is a robot character in the Star Wars universe. He’s an R2-series astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton prior to 32 BBY. R2-D2 is a major character in all Star Wars films along with his protocol droid companion C-3PO, he joins Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Obi-Wan Kenobi in various points in the saga. I remembered vividly when I watched the whole Trilogy back to back in Jakarta, it felt like eon years ago *grin* and here I am now in Manila creating R2-D2 image on pull apart cupcakes cake ordered by Zoe, loved it.

Golden Birthday

I’m a big fun of the giant cupcake, it’s huge, versatile and the possibility to decorate it is endless.

This was Dewi’s order for her husband birthday today. It’s Vanilla cupcake with Nutella filling and buttercream frosting. I’m using white chocolate to cover the bottom part of the cake, I like the neat cupcake paper liner look-a-like result. The stars were made from cut out fondant and I’m alternating it with golden dragées. Added golden luster dust on the number 50 to accentuate the celebrant golden birthday celebration and Voila, all is done.

My daughter was volunteering to deliver the cupcake, she was beaming with pride, too cute!

Hello Kitty Pull-Apart

Consists of 35 pieces regular size chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting this pull apart cupcakes cake is absolutely HUGE and HEAVY! Because of its large size it has no room for error, must say I was very pleased with the result, one happy cupcake artist here. I also made an individual Hello Kitty cupcake for the birthday girl who came along to collect the cupcakes cake with her Dad.

Happy 5th birthday Shayla!

Pink Roses

Pink Roses

Twelve years ago we were living in Bali surrounded by lovely neighbors from all around the world. One of them is Sri Lankan family with 2 cute boys in Primary years that will ring on my doorbell after school to get some home baked cookies. Couple years later we all move to different countries, we visited them in Singapore and they visited us in Bangkok, the boys has grown and my daughter adore them. Anyway, their parents is currently in Manila for couple of days and we’re reminiscing our Bali days between pink roses cupcakes, coffee, shopping and laughter.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Harry Potter

You-know-who baked these scrumptious cupcakes for Keya’s 9th birthday celebration recently.

It was vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting and sugar fondant topper. Some fictional items from one of my favourite book were transformed into edible treat, the wizard hat, Nimbus 2000, quidditch, Gryffindor scarf, Platform 9 3/4, book of spells and of course Harry Potter specs with the lightning strike mark, such a great fun!

Happy birthday Keya, wingardium leviosa!
