Golden Pig

Pull apart cupcakes cake consists of Oreo cupcakes and caramel cupcakes, Mariel’s order for her Dad’s birthday celebration. Between her and her sister Marylin this was their 5th order of birthday pull apart cupcakes cake for their family special occasion, one happy cupcake artist here ❤

Mariel requested a golden pig drawing, longevity in Chinese character 寿 (shòu) and her Dad’s name. She also wants red background for the cupcakes cake which symbolizes good fortune and joy. A very special cupcakes cake indeed, loved it!

By the way, the pig is the last animal sign on the Chinese zodiac and this pull apart cupcakes cake marked my last baked goods in 2014, I’m off for a break with our family in British Columbia.

Happy Holidays

Cooked up a storm for our annual Christmas dinner in our home, made some of my signature dishes (beef rendang, pork ribs and roasted chicken) dessert table was dominated by chocolate ( 3 layers chocolate cake with caramel filling and chocolate ganache icing, oreo cupcake, chocolate cookies, chocolate pralines). So happy I pull it through with no major hiccups, the food was enjoyed by all and I receive nothing but compliment, cheers to that!

Toothless

Have you seen the movie How To Train Your Dragon? Toothless is the name of Hiccup’s Dragon, Toothless is classified as a Night Fury dragon, which is considered to be one of the most mysterious and fearsome types of Dragons that exist. Until Hiccup discovered Toothless, no one had ever known what a Night Fury even looked like. If you haven’t seen the movie or read the book please add it to your to do list!

12 Days ’till Xmas

Definitely my favourite time of the year!

We are in Manila for another week to enjoy the festivities, my last day of baking will be December 17, exciting time ahead!

So This Is Christmas

Sunday activities in our household, between typhoon warning and all the excitement of the festive holiday approaching we stayed warm and cozy in my kitchen. We’ve made chocolate crackles (rice krispies & mars bars), marshmallow dipped in chocolate (my daughter favourite) and X’mas chocolate cookies. Most of our baked goodies were packed and delivered to I Love Street Kids project in Manila.
