For those days when you can’t decide which cupcake flavour you like best,
have both!
❤
New idea sometimes came from an ordinary object, in my case I bought this book because I like the cover, books stack together is one of my favourite sight since I was very young. This particular book cover gives me an idea to decorate the vanilla cupcake without it’s liner, cut it into 3 pieces and stack it back with vanilla frosting in between and voila, it’s ready to party!
Its tall and pretty with all the extra buttercream in it, my daughter said it looks like mini wedding cake ❤
This week is School Midterm Break for my 10 years old daughter, she’s asking if we could bake pink cupcakes “inside and outside” I told her that instead of using colourings for the cupcake batter we could just add pink sprinkles. So that’s what we did on a first day of the school break, we’ve baked Vanilla cupcakes, filled it with pink sprinkles, once it’s baked and cooled off we add buttercream frosting and more pink sprinkles, isn’t it pretty?
My friend daughter, Sofia, turns 17 years old over the weekend, she is an amazing gymnast and my daughter is her biggest fan. The birthday celebration was scheduled after her club training session so I’ve made a gymnastics theme birthday cupcakes. Got helpful hint from my daughters on “gymnastics term” she was beaming with pride standing next to me while I transform the words into cut out fondant label. My favourite part of this project is the gymnast’s silhouette, it’s projecting such a powerful skill that I wish I could master ❤
Happy birthday Sofia, more power and success to you xoxo.
My amazing Gravotonic Yoga teacher is leaving Manila this Summer, she is one of my favourite person that I met in the Philippines. A beautiful and charming Italian Lady that always motivated her students (aka friends) to stay fit. As a Thank You I hosted a send off lunch with a few of my yoga classmates today. Cooked some of my favourite Balinese dishes (Jukut Urab, Be Sampi basa kalas, Be Siap matunu & Pepes Be pasih) also baked mini Red Velvet cupcakes (for good luck).
Being an Expat means we’ve been through so many hellos and goodbyes in every place that we’ve lived for certain amount of time. But the truth is, it never get any easier to bid farewell.
Nevertheless, my dear Francesca, as we said it’s not a goodbye but definitely see you again soon, love you.
I’ve made these special edible “flowers” for my dear friend birthday celebration today. As you know I love creating flower topper with buttercream on cupcakes, these ones in particular were very challenging since they were mini in size. Also my first time making Gypsophilia (baby breath), LOVE it!
Happy birthday Nicole xoxo
PS. We took her out for Thai lunch in Makati, I was very happy to have a fair share of Mango sticky rice 🙂
