Teacher’s Birthday
My daughter came home after school and said “Mami, June 7 is Mr Gane‘s birthday, can I bring him cupcakes please? I asked Ms Celeste to give me a big paper today for his birthday card and get everyone in class to sign it including some teachers in Year 3.”
Wow, I’m impressed, she’s a great organizer at the age of 8 years old! Her wish is my command, so I baked mini Oreo cupcakes (Little Miss favourite) with blue buttercream frosting (the school colour) made mini books and pencil topper, also a blackboard with A+ on it.
You should have seen her going to school with it, her face was beaming with pride, too cute!
Happy birthday, Mr Gane!
Slumber Party
These are chocolate and oreo cupcakes with buttercream frosting, Lilian’s order for Ava’s 5th birthday party. Her request was kiddos figurine in blankets for cupcake toppers, boys and girls. I’m using coloured sugar fondant for the figurine and blankets. My first pyjama party cupcake theme, had great time making it.
Happy birthday, Ava!

Terraria
A Vanilla pull apart cupcakes cake with video game theme for Louis and Jonny‘s 10th birthday celebration.
Terraria is an action-adventure sandbox indie video game, developed by game studio Re-Logic. The character has a lot of colour shading that create the image, not an easy one to work with buttercream since it has to be precise and perfectly squared, such a meticulous work but I did it. Thank you Jennie and Steve for the challenge, I had a great fun making it 🙂
Awesome photos from the party as well, love magic candles, double the fun!
Happy birthday Boys!
40th Birthday
My friend Amanda plan a surprise birthday party for her husband Joris to celebrate his “Double 20”. One of his hobby is collecting mileage points so I made a pull apart cupcakes cake with the image of one of his frequent flyer card.
When he saw the cupcakes cake his expression was priceless, well done Amanda!
Happy birthday Joris.
Durian Cupcake
Baked my very first batch of cupcakes filled with home made Durian custard today, served it as dessert during lunch with friends, send it out to some friends that loves durian and last but not least enjoying it with my daughter for tea when she’s back from school, can’t get enough of it!
Regarded as “King of the Fruit” in South East Asia, Durian has distinctive odour that is very strong, pleasantly sweet fragrance to some people but others find the aroma overpowering and revolting. I tried durian for the first time when we live in Bangkok, Thailand several years back, it was served as pancake filling. There was no trace of the over powering odour and it has such a sweet and creamy taste that surprisingly nice and enjoyable. My daughter grow a liking for the unusual taste as well, she is truly Mini Me 🙂
Found some sweet fragrance durian in the farmers market here in Manila, I’ve made custard out of it then store it in a mason jar in the fridge overnight. Baked vanilla cupcakes earlier today, filled it up with the durian custard and frost it with cream cheese frosting, absolutely delicious. Some photos of Little Miss enjoying her durian filled cupcake.
To all Durian lovers in Manila, you can get your durian filled cupcake from us, place your order now.
