Went to surprise birthday lunch for my friend Cyndi, dress code of the day was “something blue” so I decided to bring Blue Velvet Cupcakes to match the colour mood of the day.Like red velvet cupcake, blue velvet has a great hint of chocolate taste and the soft cream cheese frosting just make this little beauties absolutely delicious.

I haven’t baked these flavour for the longest time, today I was invited to a Nepalese ladies lunch and I decided to brought these mini cupcake as a gift to the host. I’m using fresh orange peel and candied orange peel in it, absolutely delicious with the cream cheese frosting.

It is currently very cold in Shanghai and we’ve been enjoying fresh strawberries, yes when the temperature drop all the berries become available. The first week in the New Year after a nice vacation in South Korea with the family I baked fresh strawberry cupcake with cream cheese frosting. They were pink inside and so delicious!
