Tommy & Sasha

Sasha is an awesome swimmer and Tommy loves football (his favourite team is MU). These are oreo cupcakes with buttercream frosting, the swimming race pull apart cupcakes cake is one of my favourite creation, I’ve made so many by now I’ve lost count but still the football cupcake were the most requested ones.

I will miss watching these boys in MASA swimming training with my daughter, the endless swim meet and also baking sports theme cupcakes on their birthdays. Farewell kiddos, all the best for you in your new school in Manchester xoxo

The birthday party was held in the Zero Gravity Trampoline Park in Greenfields, kiddos had a blast.

TARDIS

luci 1

Time and Relative Dimensions in Space (TARDIS) is Dr Who’s spaceship that resembles a blue police phone box (but changes its appearance depending on its surroundings) and is much, much larger inside than outside, he is traveling in it through time and space to solve problems and battle injustice across the universe. Dr Who is a British science-fiction television programme produced by the BBC.

This edible Tardis were drawn on red velvet cupcakes and oreo cupcakes by yours truly, Verona’s request for Luci’s 11th birthday celebration.

Into Darkness

rani despedida

It’s the month of May and all I can think about is dark chocolate frosting with everything!

Since I’m hosting a despedida lunch on May 4, 2015 (as you know its the unofficial annual “Star Wars Day” because the easy pun on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you” to “May the 4th be with you, and yes I’m a big Star Wars fan at heart) I’ve baked Oreo cupcakes with a generous amount of dark chocolate frosting, add a tiny red heart sprinkle to accentuate the swirl and it was such a big hit all was gone at the end of the lunch, definitely one happy baker here.

On that note, meet our May 2015 cupcake of the month, Cookies and cream with dark chocolate frosting, its absolutely scrumptious ❤

Cory and Brown

When we were living in Shanghai I used to ask my daughter (7 years old then) to write in Chinese character for some random things around the house, I was fascinated on how fast she get a hang of it, she was reading & singing fluently in Mandarin too! So when Charlene asked me to draw these 2 characters holding the hong bao (red envelope) with the Chinese character on the pull apart cupcakes cake I was thrilled, it feels somewhat familiar and I know I can pull it off.

Below is the email that I received from her in the evening :

Think Pink

think pink

I’ve got confession to make: I LOVE adding sprinkles on cupcake!

Got 3 large drawers in my kitchen lined up with mason jars filled with different kind of sprinkles in all sorts of shapes and colours. It’s the simplest yet most effective items to decorate baked goodies with, can’t get enough of them. Personally my favourite cupcake will be freshly baked cupcake with soft frosting and some sprinkles, I’m easy to please, hey 🙂

Showing off some of my favourite pink shades stash here (I’m low on pink dragee!), perfect for Valentine’s Day.
