Party Time

Hello everyone,

We’ve just came back from our family Tri-Cation trip in Mactan, Cebu. My daughter signed up for Alaska Ironkids race and my husband signed up for Cobra Ironman 70.3 last weekend, they finished strong and happy, very proud of them! If you’ve never heard about Cebu just google it up, it’s a beautiful island an hour flight from Manila. We’ve been there every year for summer break the last 4 years, loved it. This Cobra Ironman race were full of world athletes and celebrities, we’ve been rubbing shoulders with some awesome people, my daughter even made it to local newspaper, just awesome!

Anyway I’ve got 10 more days until my daughter back to school, I’m off to the pool to finish my book with freshly baked cupcakes and coffee. All images in here were taken with my new toy, an iPhone 6+ which arrived shortly prior our trip, I’m having so much fun with it, gracias Hubby ❤

Hinamatsuri

Hinamatsuri

Every March 3rd all families with young daughters in Japan pray for happiness and healthy growth of their girls, the special day is called Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Day or Girl’s Festival), they mark this day by setting up a display of dolls (Hina) with peach blossoms inside the house.

Learning something new everyday, loved it!

My friend Amanda plan a surprise birthday party for her husband Joris to celebrate his “Double 20”. One of his hobby is collecting mileage points so I made a pull apart cupcakes cake with the image of one of his frequent flyer card.

When he saw the cupcakes cake his expression was priceless, well done Amanda!

Being his numero uno supporter, I went to his office to surprise him with this pull apart mini cupcakes cake to celebrate his birthday. The cupcakes cake consists of mini oreo cupcakes topped with buttercream frosting and shaped with IM (ironman) symbol. His expression when he saw the cupcakes cake was priceless, feliz cumpleanos Miguel, te quiero mucho!

I am grateful for my golfer husband, he’s the one who told me where to put the green, the bunker, the water, the 3 different kind of grass texture for this puzzle cupcake cake, his first time designing an edible mini golf 🙂 These Golf theme cupcakes were Mbak Wati’s order for her husband 60th birthday celebration. Consists of Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate ganache filling and buttercream frosting (the green grass), Caramel cupcake with dulce de leche filling with butter cream frosting (the Putting Green) and oreo cupcake with chocolate buttercream costing (the bunker) it’s one of my favourite project this week. By the way, this is her 2nd time ordering birthday cupcakes from us, her first cupcake order was the famous Alpacasso theme cupcakes for her daughter birthday party.

Thank you Mbak Wati and Happy Birthday Bli Putu Kamayana.

Happy Boo-Day!

Autumn has finally arrived in Shanghai!

The temperature is really pleasant to go out and about now, the tree colors are slowly changing too, it’s really lovely. To get in the Halloween mood (our first in China) I baked oreo cupcakes, add an orange color for the buttercream frosting and dressed it up with laser cut custom made Halloween wrapper courtessy of my awesome friend at http://www.Spbang.com (thank you, Sherri!) voila … they are ready to party.

Happy Boo Day!
