Strawberry Delight

I found fresh local strawberry at the Farmers Market here in Manila recently, the fruit vendor told me they’re from Baguio. Purchased several tiny boxes out of curiosity, tried it with my daughter after school and we’re both puckering up, it was tart and super sour!

Nevertheless, I didn’t want to waste it so I decided to make fresh strawberry filling out of it. Baked vanilla cupcake today, added the strawberry filling and frost it with buttercream. The result: DELICIOUS. My daughter has second helping and so was I. We LOVE it.

Will definitely get some more strawberry soon 🙂

Pretty in Pink

These are 18 Dulce de leche (Caramel) cupcakes and 18 Strawberry cupcakes for Joni’s birthday celebration in school. I’m using my new texture sheets for sugar fondant on some of the toppers and loving it. My favourite project of the week!

Kanom Pink

Her Mom, Nadine, found my website through Google and ordered 3 dozens cupcakes in strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavors. Her choice for the toppers were hearts, stars, flowers and Hello Kitty in pink and purple color combination, Happy 7th birthday Miss Pink.

Pink Ribbon at British Women Association Lunch

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month each October, people raise money by organizing activities such as theme parties or a “pink day”. The money raised is donated to the organizers’ choice of breast cancer care or research programs.

This year I’m honored to be able to participate in British Woman Association charity lunch held in BWA House in Jakarta,thanks to Phyllis Hatful, the British ambassador wife for Jakarta whom also belong to my Indonesia Heritage Society group. It was a very well organized “Pink Lunch” with all proceed goes to Jakarta Breast Cancer Research Program.

PS. The pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness. I baked fresh strawberry cupcakes with buttercream frosting to match the theme, they were deliciously lovely.
